From the Scottish capital of Edinburgh to the lively atmosphere of Glasgow, Scotland’s cities have the best sightseeing for you to enjoy. Visits to picturesque towns like Portree on the Isle of Skye and New Lanark, the exquisite world heritage site, offer beauty and history to every visitor. The landscape of Scotland is populated with historic buildings like Stirling castle, one of the best preserved Renaissance buildings in the UK or Edinburgh castle, the icon of the city and where the Scottish crown jewels are held for any visitor to see.
Scotland is not only known for its beautiful and historic cities and towns but also for the majestic Highlands where cities give way to sublime mountains and unspoiled landscapes. It is full of things to see and do which can include anything from a visit to the Isle of Skye or Loch Lomond, a golfing trip in St. Andrews, to a more active pursuit like kayaking or canyoning.
Adventure and Luxury
Scotland is highly recommended to those who enjoy a little or even a lot of excitement. Fishing, hunting, rafting, horse riding, mountain climbing and even skiing are all available across the country.
Cashel Travel is an incoming tour operator and DMC with its head office in Edinburgh, with offices in London, Manchester, and representation in Ireland. We handle over 20,000 clients a year from all over the world. We look after incentive groups, conferences, group tours, and individuals.
We pride ourselves on our expertise in organising customised tour packages that offer much more than those you can get ‘off the shelf. We are more than happy to help with any request – the more unusual or challenging the better. We are one of the most respected companies in the business with a staff of multi-lingual travel experts who, between them, have many years of experience working in the UK and Irish tourism.
History
The company was founded in 2000 in Ireland by James Aitken.
James has 30 years of experience in the travel industry. He previously owned and sold Balmoral Travel and Mackenzie River Travel. The company was created as an independent family-run business and this is how it remains today. Being a Scotsman, he eventually chose to move back to Scotland and relocated the company headquarters to Edinburgh in 2007. After a few moves and staff additions, the company is now headquartered in a historic landmark near Edinburgh’s shore.
James was a consultant for Clansman Monarch and MacItalia. Currently, he is President of the Scottish chapter of SITE, the Society of Incentives and Travel Executives. He is a member of the travel trade and business tourism steering group at VisitScotland. He is also Treasurer and a member of the board of UKinbound.
Marta Kucharczyk joined Cashel Travel in 2003. Previously, she worked as a lecturer in Poland in Polish literature. She oversees the operations department and is the joint owner. Currently, she has been developing new markets in Mexico and China.
We work exclusively in Britain, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. This exclusive focus means we have up-to-date information and first-hand experience that offers a real benefit to our clients.
We work 24/7 for every client. If a coach breaks down at 2am our clients know that there is someone at the end of the phone who can help resolve any issue.
We can offer a broad range of services. We have a team skilled at organising large events for individual leisure travel. From conferences to incentives, group tours, luxury leisure travel and event management, we have it covered so that you can relax.
We believe in being available. Clients typically liaise with a focused team of operational staff but the option to contact senior management is always available.
We don’t believe in surprises and we know our clients feel the same. We ensure that clients have a clear picture of their developing event at all times and are consulted at every appropriate occasion.
